Today, Treca is a world-renowned manufacturer of high-end bed products whose story began in the small Alsatian town of Reichshoffen in 1935. In 1918, the Moritz family began manufacturing high-resilience steel wire for the automotive industry. Mr Moritz then had the idea to create spring mattresses for the French market. Taking its name from TREfilerie-CÂblerie, Treca quickly became a reference in the bed industry and over the years, developed innovative technologies and a unique know-how, for the greater sleep of its customers.

In Reichshoffen, Alsace, Victor Moritz established the first spring mattress factory, Treca, out of his father Rene Moritz's wire drawing and wiring company.
Victor Moritz bought the Pullman licence to equip the seats of the Pullman wagons. Ever since, Pullman suspensions are found in several Treca mattresses.

The C.A.D (Couché Assis Détendu - Lying Sitting Relaxing) electric bed base arrived. It was presented by Jacques Chazot and Colette Marchand during an evening at the Olympia where Edith Piaf was the second act.
Treca asserts itself as a top-of-the-range, artisanal bedding brand, going by the new tagline of "Handmade sleep".

Launch of a technical range under the name "Micro-Climats®" which is based around the Outlast® thermoregulation process.
Creation of a natural "Collection Privée" (Private Collection) range, based on annually renewable and environmentally friendly materials.

Creation of a collection of top-of-the-range "Impérial Exclusive" mattresses and bed bases, distributed to 130 selected distributors.
Treca celebrated its 75th anniversary. For the occasion, the brand teamed up with Harcourt Studios to create the limited series "Il était une fois demain" (Once upon a time tomorrow).

After a first partnership in 2011, Treca partnered again with Chantal Thomass to launch the "Secrets d'Alcôves" collection that defines the bedroom as a place of seduction.
Treca launched its campaign "Les plafonds vus par Tréca" (Ceilings seen by Treca) by starting its saga at the Palais Garnier and then at the Grand Palais. This involved admiring the finest Parisian ceilings from a new perspective: a Treca mattress.

The collaboration of Treca with Christian Lacroix is inspired by travels that invite in the possibility of the bedroom as a work of art.
The Treca Quai de la Tournelle Store, which opened in 2019, showcases the savoir-faire of the master craftspeople at Treca, passed down from generation to generation.

Treca began collaborating with Sarah Loine to design a set of bedding, mattress, bed base, bedside tables and headboards in "Sarah" blue.
The Treca Place des Victoires Store opened in Octobre 2021. It is located next to the showrooms of the most important upholstery manufacturers.

Treca has been awarded the Living Heritage Company label.
