The Brun de Vian-Tiran factory was founded in 1808 in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. It embodies an exceptional legacy spanning eight successive generations without interruption, a unique case in France.
The creation, in 1961, of the first mohair blanket was a true revolution. It has established itself as the company’s signature product, never to be equalled. The constant search for fine fibres very quickly enriched a range of exceptional materials such as alpaca, camel, llama and cashmere, as well as rarer fibres like gashgora (angora rabbit wool) and yangir (Siberian ibex goat, a rare animal living at altitudes of over five thousand metres in Mongolia).
Today, Pierre and Jean-Louis Brun, father and son, run the workshop, carrying on this family legacy through their commitment to natural materials and their passion for the craft. It is by combining technological innovation, unique expertise and the irreplaceable skills of the artisans that they maintain the balance and authenticity of the products. The artisans, with their in-depth knowledge and attention to detail, bring irreplaceable added value, ensuring the excellence of luxury at every stage of production.

Brun de Vian-Tiran holds two labels of excellence. In 2023, it was voted ‘The World’s Most Beautiful Family Business’. In 2007, it was awarded the ‘Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant’ label, a mark of recognition from the French government that honours outstanding craftsmanship and industrial expertise.
