Since 1935, the Treca brand has been enhancing sleep with its collections of mattresses, headboards and bedroom accessories.
More than an art of living, it is a true art of sleeping that Treca offers thanks to a know-how inspired by the great Parisian palaces, international designers, the best craftsmen and all the French tradition recognised throughout the world.
After Paris, Lyon and Madrid, it is now the turn of the United Kingdom to welcome the Treca boutique concept and to benefit from this haute couture experience with the opening of a first boutique in London.
The new Treca Store
Since the end of December, Londoners have been able to discover the art of sleeping French-style at 7-9 Wigmore Street. It is in the very chic district of Westminster City that Treca has chosen to set up its 160 square meters showcase where customers move from one collection to another in a luxurious atmosphere.
With 9 exceptional bedding sets presented on two levels, Treca honours French craftsmanship and know- how. Fully upholstered and hand-finished mattresses, noble materials without biocides, PEFC-labelled* wooden headboards and bed bases are the common denominator of the prestigious Impérial Prestige, Paris, Couture and Platinum collections.

« L'art de la chambre by Treca »
Each set is presented with a headboard dressed in a fabric from the French company Pierre Frey. As usual, the brand gives a special place to international designers in its shop, such as Quaglio Simonelli and Annette Lang. Gressey, the new headboard designed by French interior architect Charles Tassin, and 1.60m high, has also found its place there dressed in Pierre Frey's TAMPA fabric. In addition to the bed, Treca offers a wide range of decorative accessories, duvets, pillows and footboards, allowing clients to experience the world of « sleeping well the French way ».
Treca & Charles Tassin collaboration
For the new Treca signature collection, the interior designer Charles Tassin has imagined a collection of decorative headboards where curves and counter- curves offer a version of the bedroom in his image: contemporary, design, refined. In love with subtle beauty, Charles Tassin has designed their shapes between the modernity of Art Deco and a revisited XVIIIth century, perfectly embodying the Treca's art of welcoming and dreaming. Each model is the result of a dialogue between architecture and craftsmanship, where the hands that have shaped them have taken care to offer them mastered contours for a rare softness, both to the touch and to the eye. A real work of precision, comparable to haute couture, was carried out by the upholsterers and decorators of the Maison Treca to give life to the imagination of Charles Tassin.
About Charles Tassin
Interior designer, Charles Tassin has developed a very personal approach to decoration, convincingly and tastefully playing with the paradox of Neo clacissism. Alchemist of Decoration , he crosses eras to better conjugate them. In the wake of the 1940-70s’ designers, Tassin shows a strong attachment to 20th century Decorative Arts.
As a connoisseur of arts and crafts, he restructures the spaces, alters the perspectives, while respecting the history of the places with a great sense of modernity. His attention to light, texture, and details, as well as a keen sense of luxury and a certain way of life, keeps him away from today’s Minimalism. Thanks to Tassin, we rediscover the relaxed and glamourous signature of French-style elegance. Charles Tassin is one of the 100 designers selected by AD magazine in 2021.
He has designed numerous private hotels and houses in Paris, London, Brussels, Kuwait City... Charles Tassin has also designed hotels, restaurants and night clubs for the Costes group. He is currently working on his next furniture collection in collaboration with the textile publisher Pierre Frey.
