From 20 September to 11 November 2025, the Cour Jardin at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée will host an installation that is already causing quite a stir: Day Bed, a creation by the Uchronia studio, led by designer Julien Sebban. But behind this monumental and poetic work lies exceptional craftsmanship: that of Treca, a French luxury bedding company, which created the centrepiece of the project.
When the bed becomes a work of art
For this installation, Julien Sebban and his collective Uchronia have designed an oversized bed, a bold reinterpretation of traditional codes. More than just a piece of furniture, Day Bed becomes a living sculpture, somewhere between functional design and dreamlike reverie. Draped in intense greens and bright reds, it embodies the creative exuberance dear to the studio.
But if this piece attracts everyone's attention, it is above all thanks to the expert hand of Treca's craftsmen, who have brought this extraordinary bed to life. The custom-made headboard illustrates the company's unique ability to combine comfort, elegance and innovation.

A collaboration between tradition and avant-garde
This project also brings together several worlds: Julien Sebban and Uchronia, who challenge design conventions with a maximalist and poetic approach; Treca, which has been a symbol of excellence in bespoke bedding for decades; and prestigious partners such as Palet, Misia and Seigneurie. Together, they are transforming the Plaza Athénée into a veritable open-air gallery, where every detail reflects a history of creativity and refinement.
Treca excellence, the cornerstone of bespoke luxury
Since its creation, Treca has cultivated a rare standard: each piece is crafted with respect for traditional expertise, combined with the most contemporary techniques. With Day Bed, the company demonstrates once again that bedding can transcend its primary function to become a true artistic statement.
Dressed in refined textiles from Jacquard Français, adorned with floral cushions and curtains by Misia, and illuminated by Palet's vibrant ceramics, the creation celebrates French craftsmanship. Chrome reflections complete the ensemble, playing with the natural light of the Cour Jardin to offer visitors a visual and sensory experience.

An invitation to rediscover the art of sleeping
With Day Bed, Treca reminds us that a bed is not just an everyday object, but can become a true space for artistic expression and contemplation. An installation that perfectly illustrates the company's philosophy: to offer much more than just a place to sleep, but an experience of luxury, comfort and emotion.
Until 11 November 2025, the Cour Jardin at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée will be a meeting place for design, craftsmanship and imagination. And at the heart of this unique experience is the inimitable mark of Treca.
