From 20 September to 11 November 2025, the Cour Jardin of the Plaza Athénée Hotel is hosting an installation that is already been talked about: Day Bed, a creation by studio Uchronia, directed by the designer Julien Sebban. However, behind this imposing and poetic work hides exceptional savoir-faire: that of Treca, the French luxury bed brand, which made the project’s centrepiece.
When a bed becomes a work of art
For this installation, Julien Sebban and his Uchronia collective came up with an oversized bed, in a bold reinterpretation of traditional codes. More than a simple piece of furniture, Day Bed becomes a living sculpture, combining functional design and oneiric reverie. Draped in intense greens and bright reds, it embodies the exuberant creativity that is dear to the studio.
However, while this piece attracts everyone’s attention, this is first and foremost due to the expert work of Treca’s craftspeople, who gave life to this oversized bed. The headboard, which was made to measure, illustrates Treca’s unique ability to bring together comfort, elegance and innovation.

A collaboration combining tradition and avant-garde
This project is also the meeting place of several worlds: Julien Sebban and Uchronia, who are shaking up the codes of design with their maximalist and poetic approach; Treca, a symbol for decades of excellence in made-to-measure beds; as well as prestigious partners, such as Palet, Misia and Seigneurie. Together, they transformed Plaza Athénée into a veritable open-air gallery where every detail reflects a history of creativity and refinement.
Treca excellence, a pillar of made-to-measure luxury
Since its creation, Treca has cultivated a rare exacting nature: each piece is crafted in keeping with traditional savoir-faire, allied with more contemporary techniques. With Day Bed, the brand once again shows that a bed can be more than its primary function and can become a true artistic manifesto.
Decked in refined textiles by Jacquard Français, adorned with flower-patterned cushions and curtains by Misia, and set off by the stunning ceramics from Palet, the creation flies high the flag of French craftsmanship. Chrome highlights round off the whole, playing with the natural light of the Cour Jardin to offer visitors an experience that is both visual and sensory.

An invitation to rediscover the art of sleeping
With Day Bed, Treca reminds us that a bed is not just an everyday object, but can become a veritable space for artistic expression and contemplation. An installation that perfectly illustrates the brand’s philosophy: to offer much more than a place to sleep and instead to propose a luxury, comfortable and emotive experience.
Until 11 November 2025, the Cour Jardin of the Plaza Athénée Hotel takes the form of a meeting point for design, architecture and imagination. At the heart of this unique experience, lies the inimitable print of Treca.
